unforgettable moments in
Grande Lakes Orlando
A first-time Ritz-Carlton guest from Canada visited The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes with his wife, six-year-old daughter, and nine-year-old son ahead of the son’s upcoming brain cancer treatment in Jacksonville.
Before heading to Jacksonville, the family visited The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. Once checked in, the family arrived to a framed picture of their breakfast experience at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, which was arranged by Morgan prior to their arrival. The family was grateful for the gift, which had made the son smile for the first time since his diagnosis.
While the family did not want any special treatment, Morgan from the guest relations team upgraded the family to a suite and arranged a private breakfast experience at the resort’s restaurant, Highball & Harvest complete with special décor including customized balloons with the children’s names and a curated menu of breakfast options.
The family visited twice more in the months following their initial visit. During the visits, the property provided the family with a photobook from their first visit and the son’s favorite dessert from onsite MICHELIN-recommended restaurant, Knife & Spoon.
Morgan arranged for a surprise visit from Gatorland, a local wildlife theme park in Orlando. During the experience, the family held and pet several unique animals, such as alligators, scorpions, turtles, lizards, and more. Morgan arranged a resort photographer to capture the special moment.
Seven months later, the family returned to Florida for a check-up, stopping at The Ritz-Carlton, Grande Lakes along the way. This time, the pastry team created a chocolate storm trooper, while the property provided the family with a complimentary cabana to relax by the pool before going back to Canada.
