unique facts
Pioneering a new era in hospitality, Accor’s founders, Paul Dubrule and Gérard Pélisson, redefined the industry for a fast-paced, post-war world of movement and modernity. With the opening of Novotel Lille-Lesquin in 1967, they introduced the concept of a standardized hotel chain, offering modern comforts like private bathrooms, room service and swimming pools—transforming the hotel experience and setting a new standard for full-service hospitality.
